If you’re looking for a luxurious and relaxing travel experience, Cebu, in the Philippines, could be one of your options. In this blog post, Accordingly, I’ll share my personal experience traveling to Cebu with my wife and 2-year-old son, staying at the Imperial Resort, and exploring the city.
Choosing Cebu as our travel destination
After giving birth to our first child, my wife and I was eager to travel overseas. Therefore. we chose Cebu as our second travel destination, considering the proximity and availability of direct flights from Korea. Additionally, we wanted to spend some quality time at a luxurious resort while our son enjoyed the pool and other activities.
Staying at the Imperial Resort
We stayed at the Imperial Resort, which is one of the most famous resorts for Koreans in Cebu. In fact, the resort was excellent, and we enjoyed our stay there. The rooms were spacious, the staff was friendly, and the resort had all the facilities we needed, including a swimming pool and a restaurant that served delicious food. Additionally, one of the highlights of our stay was ordering pizza at the poolside, which was a delightful experience.
Exploring Cebu
While Cebu has many magnificent and shiny resorts, we soon discovered that there is a vast difference between the inside and outside of the resorts. When we left the resort, we encountered a lot of children selling souvenirs, which made us feel uneasy. We were traveling with our 2-year-old son in a stroller, and the children would rush toward us, making it a dangerous experience. We also noticed that there were many pickpockets in the area, which added to our concerns. Therefore, we would recommend refraining from going out personally and being cautious while exploring the city.
