Starting the journey
Our trip to Phuket, Thailand, was an unforgettable experience that started with our departure from Korea. We flew from Incheon International Airport to Phuket International Airport, which took approximately 6 hours. The flight was comfortable, and we were able to enjoy some in-flight entertainment and meals before arriving at our destination.
Staying at RCI Resort in Phuket
Upon arrival at Phuket International Airport, we were greeted by the friendly staff of the RCI Resort where we had booked our stay. The resort was in a prime location, close to many tourist attractions and amenities. The resort itself was spacious, clean, and well-maintained, with a range of facilities and services available to guests, including a pool, spa, gym, and restaurant.
Activities and Tours in Phuket
During our stay in Phuket, we took part in a range of activities and tours, each of which was a unique and exciting experience. Here are some of the highlights of our trip:
Boat Tour and Island Hopping: We took a boat tour around the nearby islands, which was a fantastic way to see the natural beauty of the area. We visited the famous Phi Phi Islands, which were truly breathtaking. The crystal-clear waters, white sandy beaches, and lush greenery were a sight to behold. We also got to go snorkeling and see the colorful marine life up close.
City Tour and Big Buddha: We took a city tour of Phuket and visited some of the famous landmarks of the area, including the iconic Big Buddha statue. The statue was truly impressive, standing 45 meters tall and offering a panoramic view of the island. We also visited Wat Chalong, one of Phuket’s most important Buddhist temples. The intricate architecture and rich history of the temple were fascinating to learn about.
Shopping and Old Market Tour: Phuket is known for its bustling markets and street vendors, and we made sure to take a tour of the Old Market to see the local culture up close. We tried some of the local street food, such as pad thai, mango sticky rice, and grilled meat skewers, and shopped for souvenirs and handmade crafts.
Massage and Relaxation: One of the highlights of our trip was indulging in some massage and relaxation. Thai massage is famous for its unique techniques that combine stretching and pressure points, and we made sure to try it out. We also tried other types of massages, such as oil massage, foot massage, and herbal ball massage. After our massage, we spent some time at the beach or pool to soak up the sun and relax.
